Our commitment to volunteers FutureBridge Foundation values every volunteer who supports our mission — as mentors, workshop facilitators, guest speakers, mock interviewers, event supporters or ambassadors. This policy sets out what volunteers can expect from us, and what we ask in return.

Recruitment All volunteers are recruited through a fair and transparent process, including an application, informal discussion, and — for roles involving direct contact with young people — references and a DBS check where appropriate.

Induction and training Volunteers receive an induction covering our mission, safeguarding responsibilities, and the specifics of their role, along with any training needed to carry it out safely and effectively.

Support and supervision Volunteers are supported by a named point of contact within the Foundation and can raise questions or concerns at any time.

Code of conduct Volunteers are expected to act in line with our values — inclusion, empowerment, integrity, collaboration, excellence and compassion — and to follow our Safeguarding Policy at all times.

Expenses Reasonable, pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses may be reimbursed in line with our expenses guidance. [Details to be confirmed.]

Equal opportunities We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and communities, in line with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy.

Ending a volunteering role Volunteers are free to step back from their role at any time. Where conduct concerns arise, we will address them fairly and in line with our safeguarding and complaints procedures.
