Zahid Iqbal

Zahid Iqbal serves as the Chair of Trustees at FutureBridge Foundation, where he leads the Board in providing strategic oversight, governance and independent guidance to ensure the charity fulfils its mission and delivers meaningful public benefit. Working closely with the executive leadership team, he helps shape the Foundation’s long-term direction while promoting accountability, transparency and effective governance.

An experienced business educator with over 20 years of combined experience across higher education, academic leadership and industry, Zahid currently serves as a Senior Business Lecturer, delivering business programmes and supporting learners in developing the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required for successful careers. He holds an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, an MBA in Information Technology, and a Bachelor of Computer Science, bringing expertise in business management, strategic leadership, entrepreneurship and organisational development.

Alongside his academic career, Zahid has held professional roles in higher education administration, business management and the private sector, providing him with valuable experience in organisational leadership, quality assurance and strategic planning. His diverse background enables him to bring balanced insight, independent challenge and informed decision-making to the Board.

Passionate about widening educational opportunity and empowering the next generation, Zahid believes that strong governance is fundamental to creating organisations that deliver lasting social impact. As Chair of Trustees, he is committed to supporting FutureBridge Foundation’s vision of creating opportunities, building confidence and transforming futures for young people.
